Big industry move: Kraft Heinz is removing all artificial dyes from their U.S. products by 2027
Yes, the same Kraft Heinz behind Mac & Cheese, Jell-O, Capri-Sun, and Lunchables. And listen... as a mom, this is a huge first step. I won't minimize that.
But as someone who's been flipping labels for years - I'm also watching closely.
I want to know what these dyes are being replaced with.
I want transparency. Not just cleaner marketing.
And I hope this bold move leads to even more momentum in cleaning up the rest of their ingredient lists - because artificial dyes are just one piece of the puzzle.
This change didn't happen overnight. It happened because people, especially moms, kept speaking up. We asked questions.
We shared articles. We voted with our dollars. We stopped buying the snacks that made our kids spiral after school.
So while I'm cautiously optimistic, I'm also not done.
Let this be encouragement to keep going.
Our voices matter. Our choices matter.
Our kids matter.
Let's keep the pressure on, keep reading labels, and keep fighting for better - one ingredient at a time.
Sharing my thoughts on today's #breakingnews from Kraft.
While this won't until totally until 2027, I'm glad it's a good first step ... because let's be real, I hate food dyes and have been talking about them for years. It's a big passion of mine.
One good first step, but we still have more hoops to jump thru.
